The candidate rows below are local procurement and compatibility requirements,
not the authoritative live sample registry. Pending sample rows remain
unassigned until the remote qualifier passes its live-controller readiness gate
and records the physical intake. Returned immutable manifests may then update
local release evidence without duplicating the remote mutable campaign state.

## Scope

Candidate retail microSD card families and physical samples being considered for
HPT media 2.0 qualification. This inventory begins with owner-provided order
information. Retail listing claims are procurement leads, not verified media
identity or qualification evidence.

## Candidate-family intake

Sources observed 2026-07-25: one owner-provided order screenshot shows the
KEXIN and GIGASTONE items arriving 2026-07-25 between 14:15 and 17:15; a
second shows the Lexar item arriving Wednesday, without a calendar date.
Physical receipt, order identifier, exact package markings, and lot identity
have not yet been verified.

| Candidate | Retail listing information visible in source | Ordered quantity | Provisional campaign position | Current gate |
| --- | --- | ---: | --- | --- |
| `CAND-KEXIN-8GB` | KEXIN 8 GB microSD card; 10-pack with SD adapter; listing claims microSDHC, UHS-I, C10/Class 10, Full HD/high speed | 10 cards | Preferred Family 1 lead because one delivered pack can supply the initial A/B pair plus fresh adaptive reserves | Await receipt, package/lot photos, exact markings, and per-card CID |
| `CAND-GIGASTONE-8GB` | GIGASTONE 8 GB microSD card; 2-pack; listing claims microSDHC, Class 10, up to 80 MB/s and surveillance/action-camera use | 2 cards | Family 2 lead after initial release | The two cards can form the initial A/B pair if their commercial identities are consistent and both intake baselines pass |
| `CAND-LEXAR-300X-8GB` | Lexar High-Performance microSDHC 300x 8 GB UHS-I/U1 with adapter; listing model `LSDMI8GBBNL300A`; sold by AAAA Universe with seller statement “Serial Numbers Recorded”; listing price $9.89 | One unit/listing shown; exact order quantity not visible | Family 3 lead for later rolling approved-pool qualification | If only one card was ordered, obtain one more matching sample for the initial A/B pair; then complete receipt, package/lot, marking, and per-card CID intake |

The KEXIN position is a scheduling recommendation, not approval. Confirm the
initial pair has consistent retail/package identification before assigning
`F1-A1` and `F1-B1`. Keep later cards fresh and unassigned until a reviewed
adaptive-sample reason exists. Variations in CID manufacturer, product,
revision, or geometry must be recorded and reviewed; a common retail listing
does not prove identical internal media.

## Installed control/reference cards

The owner identified the cards currently installed in both controls as SanDisk
EDGE 8 GB cards on 2026-07-25. Service-467/current-controller evidence reports
the electronic product name `SS08G`. Preserve the owner product-family
identification and the controller-reported identity together; neither alone is
an exact purchasing specification.

| Reference ID | Installed controller | Product identity | CID identity | Qualification role and boundary |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `CTRL-A-EDGE-8GB` | A, assembly `1751136`, hardware variant `0` | Owner-identified SanDisk EDGE 8 GB; controller reports MID `0x03`, OEM `SD`, product `SS08G`, revision `8.0`; capacity `15,523,840` sectors | Serial `0x976F0084` / `2540634244`; manufactured `2024-05`; raw CID `035344535330384780976F0084018559` | Installed healthy non-destructive control/reference; not expendable and not an `F1`/`F2` campaign sample |
| `CTRL-B-EDGE-8GB` | B, assembly `1751219`, hardware variant `1` | Owner-identified SanDisk EDGE 8 GB; controller reports MID `0x03`, OEM `SD`, product `SS08G`, revision `8.0` | Serial `0x976F0085` / `2540634245`; manufactured `2024-05`; raw CID `035344535330384780976F0085018507` | Installed healthy non-destructive control/reference; not expendable and not an `F1`/`F2` campaign sample |

These installed cards are distinct from the retired failed FAT32 card and from
the historical photographed failure-prone EDGE reference unless physical/CID
evidence explicitly proves they are the same specimen. Do not initialize,
format, endurance-cycle, fault-inject, or otherwise destructively qualify the
installed controls. Power the controller off before any authorized replacement
or reinsertion; powered hot swapping remains prohibited.

## Physical-sample intake

Create one row per physical card at receipt. Do not infer CID fields from the
retail listing or from the included full-size SD adapter.

| Sample ID | Candidate | Package/lot and card markings | Controller/role | CID identity | Intake status |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `F1-A1` | TBD after receipt; preferred `CAND-KEXIN-8GB` | Pending | Controller A; initial counted fault specimen plus endurance | Pending | Not assigned |
| `F1-B1` | TBD after receipt; preferred `CAND-KEXIN-8GB` | Pending | Controller B; initial counted fault specimen plus endurance | Pending | Not assigned |
| `F1-A2` | TBD after receipt; preferred `CAND-KEXIN-8GB` | Pending | Fresh reserve; controller/coverage assigned only after reviewed reason | Pending | Not in campaign |
| `F2-A1` | TBD; `CAND-GIGASTONE-8GB` lead | Pending | Controller A; initial counted endurance and assigned A coverage | Pending | Ready for intake after receipt |
| `F2-B1` | TBD; `CAND-GIGASTONE-8GB` lead | Pending | Controller B; initial counted fault specimen plus endurance | Pending | Ready for intake after receipt |
| `F2-B2` | Optional matching reserve if later obtained | Pending | Fresh reserve; controller/coverage assigned only after reviewed reason | Pending | Not required for initial campaign |

For every assigned sample record:

- supplier, order reference, receipt date, package SKU/UPC, lot/date codes, and
  photographs of the unopened package and both card faces;
- protocol card status, CID-valid status, and representative-sector-read
  status;
- manufacturer name and MID, OEM/application ID, product name, product
  revision, serial number, manufacturing date, and complete raw 128-bit CID;
- capacity and HPT geometry observed by the controller;
- baseline full-address scrub result and evidence directory;
- explicit expendable marking and destructive-test authorization.

## Recommendations

- Use two KEXIN samples from the delivered 10-pack for the initial A/B campaign
  if intake shows consistent package/card identification and both baselines
  pass.
- Keep the other KEXIN cards uninitialized as replacement or follow-up
  samples; do not add one to the campaign without a recorded replacement,
  investigation, inconclusive, infrastructure-damaged, or
  additional-coverage reason.
- The two Gigastone cards are enough to start its initial A/B campaign if both
  pass intake. Obtain a later matching card only when an adaptive-sample reason
  exists, and record whether its package/lot differs.
- Treat the Lexar seller's “Serial Numbers Recorded” statement only as
  procurement traceability. It is not the SD CID and does not satisfy the
  service-467 identity requirement.
- Confirm the Lexar order quantity. If the screenshot represents one physical
  card, obtain one additional matching `LSDMI8GBBNL300A` sample before
  scheduling that family.
- Qualify one family at a time. Release the frozen firmware with the first
  passing family, then add later passing families to the approved pool.
- Never remove or insert an SD card while the controller is powered.

## Verification

This inventory is ready for campaign assignment when:

1. each selected card has a unique durable sample label;
2. package and card-face evidence is retained;
3. each sample has a complete service-467/equivalent CID identity block;
4. the initial pair and mandatory Controller A/B roles are recorded;
5. baseline full-address scrubs pass; and
6. the immutable per-card qualification checklists and evidence directories
   exist; and
7. every third or later sample remains unassigned until its reviewed reason,
   role, and required coverage are recorded.

## Owner-directed reconciliation — 2026-09-23

Retain sample identities and procurement leads as historical inventory after owner cancellation of SD sample/family qualification; no purchasing, sample qualification, or supplier approval results.

Authorization: Owner instruction in this conversation on 2026-09-23 to close/abandon the named work and mitigate older active records.

Previous header retained for evidence interpretation:

> Status: waiting on remote qualifier intake; procurement leads and installed controls retained locally
> Next Action: none in this firmware workspace; the operator handles physical receipt and controller-power-off card moves, while srv-rpi00.local records photos, sample identity, CID, assignment, and campaign state after its readiness gate

Earlier observations, unchecked historical criteria, and procedures below/above remain history. This administrative disposition does not qualify a new firmware candidate, physical card, thermal system, ECO, or release. Current 00.05.01 obligations in IDEA-0006, IDEA-0007, MAP-0009, and CAMP-0028 remain unchanged.
