# USB07_32G final Release qualification

Date: 2026-07-30
Status: passed on Controller A, Controller B, and independent Pi inspection
Release S-record SHA-256:
`678BCC0BAEE940D27417DC889C296732281B7AD40F04EC952DB620D7BC6F40FD`

## Controller result

`USB07_32G` mounted on both controllers with acceptance mask `15` and zero
terminal system errors. WAV enumeration/load and sound 1 playback passed.

On both controllers, PID publication was followed immediately by a full image
save without an intervening recovery. This drive used the normal compliant
SYNCHRONIZE CACHE path. PID durability verified `225/225` bytes. Image
durability verified `8,388,864/8,388,864` bytes after 257 writes and one
physical VBUS/remount cycle.

The saved `7520553_SMI_00_05_00.imx` was selected for update on both
controllers. Full preflight read, staging read, and QSPI programming completed
with zero status. The drive takes longer than 30 seconds to become ready after
the update reboot; terminal captures on both controllers reached bring-up stage
`9`, mounted state `1`, acceptance mask `15`, an enumerated update image, and
zero system errors.

Raw captures are under:

- `work/evidence/hpt-log-store-circular-mirror/controller-a/usb07-final-release-retest-20260730/`
- `work/evidence/hpt-log-store-circular-mirror/controller-b/usb07-final-release-retest-20260730/`

Controller A image result:

- progress `1000`, operation result `1`;
- 257 writes and `8,388,864` requested bytes;
- durability result `2`, `8,388,864` verified bytes;
- one power cycle, remount time 535 ticks;
- compatibility required `0`, compatibility count `0`;
- mounted `1`, acceptance mask `15`, system errors `0`.

Controller B image result:

- progress `1000`, operation result `1`;
- 257 writes and `8,388,864` requested bytes;
- durability result `2`, `8,388,864` verified bytes;
- one power cycle, remount time 500 ticks;
- compatibility required `0`, compatibility count `0`;
- mounted `1`, acceptance mask `15`, system errors `0`.

## Independent Pi inspection

The Pi identified the unmounted FAT32 partition as `/dev/sda1`, label
`USB07_32G`, model `USB DISK 3.0`, size 28.9 GiB.

Unmounted `fsck.vfat -n -v /dev/sda1` passed without repair or reported
filesystem errors: two FATs, 1,893,665 data clusters, six files, and 540
allocated clusters.

Read-only file inspection found:

No `.tmp`, `.part`, or `.bak` file was present. The filesystem was unmounted
again after inspection.

## Disposition

`USB07_32G` passes the final Release qualification on the normal compliant-cache
path. Its slower post-reboot initialization is bounded and reaches a clean
terminal state without operator recovery.
