# Controller A corrected hold UI observation

Status: passed
Type: evidence
Updated: 2026-07-23
Next Action: execute the documented J-Link/SWD isolation and controller power-cut sequence, then run the automatic post-cut boot gate
Campaign Reason: Historical record from campaign 013-close-hpt-media-2-initial-release-qualification; retained independently after campaign closure and requires no separate owner-queue execution.
Campaign: standalone
Parent: work/checklists/checklist-controller-a-hpt-wrap-and-power-interruption-qualification.md

## Observation

The corrected firmware remained in `HOLDING_CUT_POWER` substantially longer
than the three-second Home-screen missing-media countdown. A read-only target
capture during the hold reported public SD state `SD_CARD_STATE_RAW_HPT` (`6`),
HPT media ready, HPT status zero, SD last status zero, and no system error.

At approximately 15:29 Pacific time, after returning to the controller, the
operator reported `no warning` on Controller A. This passes the pre-cut visual
gate: the private diagnostic hold no longer publishes the healthy raw HPT card
as unavailable and does not provoke the periodic Home-screen
`SD card is not installed` dialog.

The observation does not qualify recovery by itself. The armed target remains
at the data-durable-before-commit boundary and still requires the documented
physical J-Link target/SWD isolation, controller power cut, normal boot, and
automatic post-cut boot/recovery checks.
