# Controller A media 2.0 service 468 and reset/reopen proof

Date: 2026-07-23

## Target

- Controller A assembly: `1751136`
- J-Link: `69664082`
- Card: `HPTCS0`
- Discovered sectors: `15,654,912` (`0x00ECE000`)
- Programmed Debug SREC SHA-256:
  `24ABCDD907D63E2C1EF8195E4082059624939C4C42E8FDF7FD5D5AC813C42DEA`

## Initialization result

The owner completed the guarded service 468 workflow. The terminal screen
reported success and `log records erased`. A subsequent read-only RAM capture
showed:

- media state `4` (`HPT_READY`)
- HPT status `0`; SSP status `0`; first-error sector `0`
- commissioning iterator acknowledged/iterated `1/1`
- diagnostic passed mask `0xFFF`; failed mask `0`
- last lane mask `0x7`
- retired A/B/C `0/0/0`
- mismatch, lost, and replace-media `0/0/0`
- initialization phase `11` (`COMPLETE`)

## Runtime record gate

The controller was left running without owner intervention. Before reset the
read-only capture showed acknowledged count `11`, last lane mask `0x7`, and
store `next_sequence = 13`. This exceeds the required commissioning record plus
seven runtime records.

## Normal reset/reopen

J-Link serial `69664082` reported `VTref=3.285 V`. A normal
`AIRCR.SYSRESETREQ` reset was issued, followed by a 12-second boot/reopen
interval. The post-reset read-only capture showed:

- hardware variant `0`
- SD state `6` (`RAW_HPT`)
- media state `4` (`HPT_READY`)
- HPT status `0`; SSP status `0`; first-error sector `0`
- diagnostic passed mask `0xFFF`; failed mask `0`
- last lane mask `0x7`
- retired A/B/C `0/0/0`
- mismatch, lost, and replace-media `0/0/0`
- store media generation `2`
- store `next_sequence = 16`, monotonically beyond the pre-reset value `13`
- store `oldest_sequence = 1`

The media reopened without formatting, retained its sequence history, and
continued three-lane logging after reset.

## Scope

This proves Controller A initialization, hands-off runtime appends, and a normal
reset/reopen. It does not yet prove ordered customer export, measured
latency/stack margin, injected degraded-lane behavior, physical power cuts,
wrap, Controller B, or multi-sample retail-card qualification.
